Nationally, the Walking Touch Rugby (WTR) movement is developing fast, and here at Pocklington, we are looking to help steer the administration and marshalling of the game towards an inclusive format that can be enjoyed by all.
Pocklington coaches Howard Roberts and Dave Gibson, have been working hard to bring together local clubs to join a Rules and Referees workshop so that a uniformed approach can be laid out throughout the region.
So on Friday 13 February, representatives from York, Harrogate, Otley, Wath, Goole, Pocklington and Beverly will be attending a specially designed workshop lead by Bristol’s Barry Ramplin. Barry, from the Kingswood Club has huge experience in this area and will be offloading his knowledge to the delegates attending. Afterwards there will be a practical session with the Pocklington WTR Squad.
We meet every Friday either at the rugby Club or Kilnwick Percy training ground starting at 1.30pm.
