At the beginning of May, my son, Adam Ramsden signed up to do the Great North Run through the charity, Movember.
Movember is a charity that raises awareness for men’s health and testicular cancer.
Ironically, 2 weeks later, Adam was diagnosed with testicular cancer and went into surgery 5 days later.
After surgery, I, along with other family members and some of his mates also signed up for the Great North Run through the same charity.
After the longest 6 weeks through Adams recovery from surgery and waiting for test results, Adam was declared cancer free. He had found the cancer early due to the awareness created by charities such as Movember and OddBalls.
These charities save lives.
If you can give anything to help the Movember charity and motivate us to complete The Great North Run we would be very grateful.
